Sixth annual report Evansburg Challenge Run will be held at Evansburg State Park on Sunday, October 26, 2003. This increasingly popular event attracts over 350 runners from all over the country. Riders have the choice to participate or, Aetna active Health
, 10 miles Trail Run 5k Road Race. The proceeds of this annual fundraising event will help adults being treated for mental illness in Montgomery and Delaware counties.

The funds are used to train volunteers and provide services that help those managing mental illnesses like depression or schizophrenia. Trail Runners will enjoy the four steps of water, ditches, puddles, mud and a steep climb over ten miles of trail rides, along and across the Skippack Creek. , both beginners and veteran riders.

Road Racers can set a personal best on one of the fastest fields in Montgomery County. The race route is slightly flat and fast roads in and near the park. Most runners from Pennsylvania and the local tri-State area, but the runners from Mid-West and Western states have traveled here for the competition as well. Performance awards go to winners in various categories and the results are published on the Internet immediately after the race.

On-site registration opens at 9 am at the Pavilion Park. The event starts at 10. Evansburg State Park is located between Ridge and Skippack Pike in Collegeville. The program is equal in addition to treatment for people who have been referred by mental health agencies.
